Description Here, we show the compressive results of a Zr-based metallic glass at 300 K and 77 K. It is found that at 77 K, the strength increased without the loss of plasticity, implying an increase in the toughness. Furthermore, it is suggested that the strength changes linearly with the normalized temperature (T/Tg). Current results are important evidences that the bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) have attractive application perspective at cryogenic temperatures.
