Description
Howard Worner is recognized as a pioneer in the development of this technique for metal processing. Injection processes offer improvements in productivity, energy consumption, and environmental management, and have become much more important as the industry treats more complex materials and seeks to better manage waste.

This proceedings volume is a collection of 35 international papers focusing on issues in ferrous and non-ferrous processing, and innovations in injection metallurgy relating to intense smelting, bath smelting, converting, fuming, alloying, fluxing, and refining.

This International symposium, organized by the G.K. Williams Cooperative Research Centre for Extractive Metallurgy, was co-sponsored by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) in the USA and The Iron & Steel Institute of Japan (ISU), and was held during 1-3 July, 1996 at the Melbourne Hilton on the Park in Melbourne, Austrailia.

A collection of papers from The Howard Worner International Symposium on Injection in Pyrometallurgy in Melbourne, Austrailia, July 1-3, 1996.
